Background

I’m Yim, also known as Lj, a UX/UI designer with a background in information and communication technology. Currently, I’m pursuing a graduate degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) at DePaul University and am based in Chicago.

My journey shifted from coding to design during my first internship, where I discovered that design is more than creating beautiful interfaces. Design is about solving problems, simplifying complex systems, and bridging imagination, visuals, and real-world experiences.

I am a UX/UI designer leveraging a coding foundation in my degree to create impactful digital experiences. My career has involved designing for a variety of platforms, and I have gained experience in different industries. Committed to continuous learning, I am currently expanding my capabilities through a master’s degree in human-computer interaction.
